Lynda Block, M.Ed.
I am an an experienced, licensed special educator who has been in practice for more than 25 years. I have a Masters in Special Education and have continued to do post graduate work. My specialty is educational advocacy and consulting to help educate parents of special needs students.
I help children, adolescents and adults identify learning disabilities so that they can receive the appropriate services and accommodations. I help to educate parents of special needs students about their rights, how to obtain services, including the difference between an IEP and a 504 plan. I also accompany them to school meetings if necessary.
I specialize in assessing potential and actual college students by documenting their learning disabilities. I make recommendations and suggest accommodations so that they can be successful and graduate from college. I have a pool of resources to refer clients to if necessary. I am accessible after the assessment if a client feels the need to contact me for further help.
